We only lived in Chicago a short time, but the Jungnickel families were all beautiful people. Elaine and I along with several other people did "Walk to Emmaus" together. It was a life changing experience.
Over the years I have wavered in my faith and for some reason or another Elaine and Donna Jungnickel would always come to mind. I can still see Elaine so very clearly at the Emmaus retreat. She was so beautiful, someone you really admired. I was extremely saddened to hear about her death.
Billy Joe and I send heartfelt condolences to Eric, Courtney, Carley and Mac. Teresa Schroeder

I knew Elaine from my teen years. I often think of people in my life who have left an imprint.
Elaine was one of those people. She was strong, whitty, and beautiful. I was saddened and heart broken when I learned she has left us. I will always remember her. My condolences to the family and to all who have adored her.

Words cannot express how wonderful a person Elaine was. Although I did not know her closely, her love for her family and perserverence in all her struggles in life defined what a strong and courageous woman she was. Such a person will never be forgotten, her life will be celebrated even as she is no longer with us. Elaine will always be an angel to our community. My deepest condolences to her family and friends, and may God be with you all.

Elaine, I see you every day in the thoughts. Your beauty, inside and out was part of everything you did. Motherhood being your greatest love. Courtney, Carley and Mak are an inspiration to all. Each one, is like you in their own special way.
Your memory is a beautiful and courageous one. So, instead of tears, I encourage a smile as we all remember. You would love that. We will all see each other again some day, till then, keep an eye on everyone, OK. Love ya..

Cathy | My Loving Sister | March 14, 2008 |
My Sister, my friend, my hero. Elaine was the most loving and giving person that I will ever know, she touched so many lives and will forever live on through all of them. Her greatest joy in life was her family, Eric was her great love, and as she would say her greatest achievement was being a Mom to Courtney, Carley and Mak, her light glows through all of you.
My heart breaks daily, then I think of her courage and how she saw beautiful things in every aspect of life it brings a smile to my face, Elaine you will be missed but will forever be a part of our lives.
Mom and Dad J | Our daughter | March 6, 2008 |
From the moment we met, we were family. She was wife to our son, mother to our grandchildren, but most of all she was our daughter, the daughter we never had. We love you, Elaine, and always will. We know you are right next to Christ, smiling down on us. We feel your presence always.
